British Columbia is known for producing world-renowned wines, so it's no surprise that the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival is such a popular event. In late September through early October, residents from all across the region, as well as travellers from around the world, gather to celebrate the grape harvest with a whole host of events. Make a reservation at an Osoyoos hotel and check out some of the festivities happening in this charming community:
- Veranda's Vineyard will host Under the "Okanogan" Sun, which features a vineyard tour followed by a three-course lunch of Italian-inspired cuisine paired with three Tuscan wines.
- At Nk'Mip Cellars, you can take part in the Nk'Mip Winemaker's Dinner. Taste the delicacies of local chefs, paired with award-winning wines selected by wine maker Randy Picton.
- Head 10 minutes south of Osoyoos to Orville for Bubbles and Blues at the Beach. This event lets you sample six regional sparkling wines, teaches you how to open a champagne bottle with a sword and serves up caviar and oysters.
Are you looking to turn this trip into the Ultimate Okanagan experience for you and your guest? Then head to the Walnut Beach Resort, where you'll find carefully crafted designer suites and spectacular lakeside views.
