Spot North American wildlife at Haynes Provincial Park

Okanagan's natural wilderness surrounding the Walnut Beach Resort makes the luxurious spot the perfect place to plan an outdoor adventure with the family. Only minutes away from the lakeside hotel is the Haynes Point Park, a True North park and marsh brimming with Canada's diverse birdlife. From cycling and hiking to canoeing and fishing in the adjacent Osoyoos Lake, parents and children will have an adventure-packed weekend planned before they know it.

Moms and dads can make sure to provide their kids with binoculars before they set off on their hiking excursion and advise them to look out for all sorts of avian creatures: marsh wrens, red-winged blackbirds, white-throated swifts and canyon wrens, to name a few.

Hikers can follow the gravel trail from the visitor's kiosk, traversing the terrain that leads to a scenic overpass. The footbridge extends directly over a beaver dam, which separates the marsh from the lake. By the end of the scenic stroll, families will have stopped at various viewing platforms, where they can take photographs of the entire marsh before ending their journey.

The world-class Osoyoos hotel is situated in Okanagan's heartland, making summer holidays memorable and relaxing for all family members with a love for the great outdoors.
