There's never a shortage of things to do during a trip to Osoyoos. A stay at the luxurious Walnut Beach Resort gives guests easy access to amenities like a spa, golf course and top-notch dining options, and soon it will also provide water sports fanatics with a location close to a new Aqua Park near the town's popular Gyro Beach.
According to the Osoyoos Times, the park, which will be the largest of its kind in Canada, will offer rentals for personal watercrafts like stand-up paddle boards or banana boats. There will also be several large inflatable devices that swimmers could bounce or slide on, giving visitors of all ages a chance to take part in some fun on the lake.
Even with these additions, the integrity of Gyro Beach will remain, as the aqua park would only take up a small portion of the area, the news source reports.
While the park is expected to open at the beginning of summer 2013, visitors don't have to wait to take advantage of the sporting opportunities in Osoyoos. They can book their vacations to the Okanagan Valley now in order to hit the slopes during the winter or plan a trip to a lakeside resort during the warmer months.
