If you feel like you’re stuck in a travel rut, don’t worry, because you’re not alone. According to a new survey by Cheapflights.ca, most Canadians feel uninspired by their travel plans and opt for the same destinations, attractions and even restaurants year after year. This time around, do yourself a favour and consider taking a unique holiday adventure, like to British Columbia’s Walnut Beach Resort, where hiking, swimming and mountain biking opportunities abound.
The study, which surveyed 1,050 Canadians, revealed that more than 80 per cent of travellers are repeat vacationers.
While it may be easier to plan the same vacations every year, it can become very monotonous and unfulfilling to those who don’t change up their holiday plans.
“Daring with the unknown, taking on different challenges outside of your comfort zone and breaking habits may well be a challenge that you may wish you had taken before,” said Jane McCartney, a psychologist and aid with the Cheapflights.ca report. “Think ambitiously, and then see what you can do to get to that destination, or at least get going towards it. After all, it is human nature to seek out new experiences.”
East Coast Canadians may be itching to experience the western region of the True North, and now is there opportunity to do so. One of the best places to book is the upscale Osoyoos hotel in the heart of the Okanagan Valley.
