Okanagan Valley is breaking its way into the American market, and it may see a sudden influx of New England travellers looking for rooms at the Walnut Beach Resort in coming months. The Boston Globe recently highlighted the region as the "next wine frontier," which has been no surprise to British Columbia residents for years. Anyone who's taken one look at the scenic landscape and experienced the temperate climate knows that this destination is not only a prime winemaking spot, but a spectacular summer vacation locale as well.
To further instill the fact that the American market is embracing this region, Target launched its soft opening of a store in Okanagan's town of Vernon today.
"Target is thrilled to be opening stores in Western Canada, providing a one-stop shopping destination that meets the wants and needs of our guests," Tony Fisher, Target Canada's president, told Global News.
Whether you're in the Okanagan region for a wine tour, a weekend relaxing by the Okanagan Lake or just a luxurious stay at the lavish Osoyoos hotel, the region is quickly climbing as a go-to spot for many travellers across North America, so be sure to make reservations as soon as possible.
